The holy city of Amritsar is a flourishing trading city of Punjab. It has the potential to become major trade and export centre of Country. The city is known for Religious & Cultural vibrancy. It is associated in folk tradition & social harmony. Due to disturbance in 80’s & 90’s the growth of city has slowed down. Not much  development in urban areas has taken place.

                     People here come from all over the world to pay their obeisance to the highest seat of Sikhism, The Sacred Golden Temple. The Amritsar is on International Tourist map, there are numerous other places of interest viz: The Holy Durgiana Mandir, Jallianwala Bagh, The Prestigious Panorama of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Indo-Pak Border at Wagha etc.

          The Municipal Corporation, Amritsar is taking keen interest in leading holy city of Amritsar to new phase of development. One of such steps is taken in improvement of round-abouts, having well maintained green belts, good traffic management & improving road infrastructure etc. The existing round-abouts in Amritsar requires a fresh look by means of its narrowing down & improving its existing texture & beautifying the same.            

                     So interested persons who have deep root in India and love  Amritsar can come forward for this good cause. Their contribution can be displayed at such round-abouts at appropriate places as per Municipal Corporation’s norms.
